Postshot includes plugins for
Unreal Engine 5.4 and 5.5 that allow you to integrate Postshot scenes into your Unreal projects.
Preparing your Unreal Engine Project
Before you can import Postshot scenes into Unreal Editor, the Postshot plugin must be enabled as follows:
- In Unreal Editor select Edit/Plugins from the menu
- Search for "Postshot"
- Check the listed Postshot plugin

- Unreal Editor may have to be restarted at this point
Importing a Postshot scene into Unreal Editor
You can import .PSHT project files saved with the Postshot app into Unreal Editor as follows:
- In Unreal Editor open Content Browser
(e.g. select Window/Content Browser from the menu) - Drag&drop a .PSHT file into Content Browser
- A PostshotProjectAsset will be created
- Drag&drop the asset into the viewport
- A RdncFieldActor will be created and listed in Outliner
The RdncFieldActor represents the imported Postshot scene in Unreal Engine.
Packaging Unreal Engine projects with Postshot
Unreal Engine projects that contain Postshot elements
- Make sure the Postshot plugin is enabled
- Set Platforms/Windows/Binary Configuration to "Shipping"
- Select Platforms/Windows/Package Project
Note that in the current version of the Postshot plugin, the Postshot app must be installed in order to use a packaged Unreal Engine project.
